Here are some treasured local sights, attractions and activities that you simply can't go past according to our volunteers and the local residents of Beaudesert and the Scenic Rim.

If you'd like more information about a particular sight, attraction or activity contact us. All of our wonderful volunteers can assist you with any of the fabulous adventures listed here. There'll be so many things you want to do you'll be coming back.

Boonah food and wine tour

We hope that you enjoy this self-guided food & wine tour of Boonah and surrounds. This tour begins in Boonah, but as it travels in a large circle it can be joined at any point. Please remember to drive responsibly.

Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard

From Boonah take the Boonah-Rathdowney Road and travel south out of town.

At the Dugandan cross roads, turn right, into Mt Alford Road (approx 2km).

Continue along Mt Alford Road for approximately 4kms.

Turn left, into Brent Road. Stop at Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard.

Stroll the grounds and see some fascinating landmarks.

Enjoy the interesting history surrounding the farm.

Take advantage of the cellar door experience and say hello to the vineyard dog.

Kooroomba Vineyards & Lavender Farm

Exit Bunjurgen Estate Vineyard and turn left, continuing south on Brent Road.

Turn right, at the t-intersection of FM Bell Road.

Continue along FM Bell Road for approximately 1 to 2 kms.

Stop at Kooroomba Vineyards & Lavender Farm.

Enjoy the beautiful restaurant with morning tea or an early lunch.

Experience the scents of the lavender fields.

Enjoy the cellar door experience.

Open from 10am - 5pm Wednesday - Sunday & Public Holidays (except Christmas Day & Good Friday).

Aratula Markets

Exit Kooroomba Vineyards and turn left, continuing along FM Bell Road travelling towards and into Mt Alford.

Turn left, at the t-intersection of Bowman St.

Turn right, into Wissemann St.

Turn left into Reckumpilla St/Mt Alford Road.

Follow Mt Alford Road out of town towards Lake Moogerah.

Turn left, into Lake Moogerah Road. Enjoy the scenery as you travel around the southern end of the lake.

Continue along Lake Moogerah Road to Cunningham Hwy.

Turn right, into Cunningham Hwy, follow the road into Aratula and stop at the Aratula Markets on Cunningham Hwy.

Enjoy fresh local produce and local hospitality.

Stay for lunch or a snack.

Open 7 days.

Normanby Wines

Return to Cunningham Hwy travelling north (back the way you arrived).

Turn right, into Warrill View-Peak Crossing Road, follow the road towards Harrisville.

As you come into town, turn right, into Dunns Ave. Stop at Normanby Wines (178 Dunns Ave).

Take a guided vineyard tour.

Enjoy the cellar door experience.

Open 10am - 5pm everyday (except Christmas Day, Good Friday & Anzac Day morning).

Harrisville

Exit Normanby Wines, turn left, heading back toward Harrisville town centre.

Turn left, into Carsens Ave.

Turn right, into Eagle St.

Turn left, at the t-intersection, into Queen St. Stop and enjoy a stroll in town centre.

Paradine Estate Wines

Continue travelling east along Queen St.

Turn left, into North St. Stop at Paradine Estate Wines.

Enjoy stores of local providence and handmade chocolates.

Treat yourself with an antipasto platter with the cellar door experience for an afternoon delight.

Going Home

Exit Paradine Wines and return to Queen St.

Turn left, at the t-intersection, into Queen St and follow the road to Peak Crossing.

Turn right, into Ipswich-Boonah Road and follow the road back to Boonah.
