Jean Paterson
Jean has been interested in the art of sewing from an early age and decided to add to this by learning to spin and weave to create her own textiles.
She learnt to spin such fibres as wool, mohair, alpaca, silk and even dog hair! (Only certain kinds of dog hair of course.) Jean likes to weave scarves, wraps, ponchos and make bags, berets and warm caps and you will find many wonderful examples of her small textile creations for sale in the gallery. Jean is a highly acclaimed textile artist taking out prizes in the Royal Easter Show, the RNA Show in Brisbane and the Bendigo wool show.
"I hope to keep working with my fibres quite a few years to come, with a new challenge in every piece."
